Anyone can hear the sound when two hands are used to clap, but what is the sound of one hand clapping? This is the Koan (meditational question) presented by the Zen master Hakuin. I want to do my work while pondering what kind of a sound my “hand” can make if I think of communication in terms of “clapping”  with the other person.
