These
are the words of the Chinese Confucian philosopher Xun Zi and they are well known
to those who play the game ‘Go.’ The expression is more direct in English as it
translates to “think globally, act locally.” However, these two expressions
appeared in completely different eras, the Chinese expression being from before
Christ, and the English from the 20th century. It is both an old and new concept.
